10 presidential bets in 2022 polls

There will be 10 candidates for president in the official ballot for the May 2022 polls.

Comelec Spokesperson James Jimenez on Tuesday, Jan. 18, identified these individuals as Ernie Abella, Leody de Guzman, Isko Moreno Domagoso, Norberto Gonzales, Ping Lacson, Faisal Mangondato, Bongbong Marcos, Jose Montemayor, Manny Pacquiao and Leni Robredo.

The nine candidates for vice president on the other hand, are the following: Lito Atienza, Walden Bello, Rizalito David, Sara Duterte, Manny Lopez, Willie Ong, Kiko Pangilinan, Carlos Serapio, and Vicente Tito Sotto.

In a television interview, Jimenez said there are also 64 candidates for senator but did not identify them.

On Monday, Comelec- Education and Information Department Director Elaiza David said they expect the ballot face for overseas voting to be uploaded in the poll body's website already.

"The ballot face is already out and it will be uploaded to the Comelec website," she said.

"However, this ballot face is only for overseas voting and as you know in overseas voting they don't vote for the local positions. So you are expected to see only the positions for the national level in that particular ballot face," David added.
