Celebrates birthday at home
News of children getting sick with COVID-19 has been doing the rounds, and no one is spared—even if you're very careful. Rica Peralejo just posted that they celebrated their eldest son Philip's birthday today, but it's not the usual celebration at the Bonifacio household.
"A very positive birthday. The birthday boy tested positive and is asymptomatic. So it is positive in both senses, which is much of life — good and bad at the same time," starts Rica.

"Why we tested is another story. All on the vlog this coming Sat. We came out negative except for our 8-year-old. We found it weird and realised maybe my headache and Joe’s passing sore throat was it which was not caught on test. Either way, we just stayed together. Isolated from the rest of the world but not from each other, celebrating over zoom with family from all over the world," explains Rica on their move to isolate.
The mom-of-two-boys also shared Philip's heartwarming answer regarding Rica's question on "what if we can't afford his gifts?"
The eight-year-old replies, “But my cousins and family are gifts, too, right?”
"Never forget that, kid. No goal and gift so big can ever trump the value of people. Not saying they cannot co-exist, Legos and Family both make you happy and they are fine together. But if it ever boils down to just one choice: Choose love. Love over Legos."
