The top Mobile Legends teams in the Philippines and Indonesia may be rivals in the Land of Dawn but are good friends outside the game, that’s what Onic Philippines head coach Denver “Yebmaester” Miranda assured in a post on his page on Monday, Jan. 17.

Reacting to an article regarding RRQ Hoshi Yesaya "XINNN" Armando Wowiling’s views of the Philippine M3 representatives Onic and Blacklist International, Coach Yeb shared that it’s only the competitive nature of both teams that made them look like bitter rivals during games.

In contrary, despite the banters and trash talks, the best teams from the two of the top MLBB regions have developed a bond during the M3 World Championship.

"So mga hindi pa nakakaalam sobrang tropa namin ng Blacklist International and RRQ HOSHI sa M3, sobrang bait nila kapag hindi naglalaro lagi kami magkakasama,” wrote Coach Yeb while sharing the article where Xinnn praised both Blacklist and Onic Philippines for their stellar performances in M3.

Xinnn's RRQ fell to Onic PH, 3-0, in their upper bracket match before it also suffered another 3-0 beatdown at the hands of Blacklist in the lower bracket.

“Pero kapag kalaban nila kayo grabe yung trashtalk nila. “’Yung competitiveness nila, ang taas, kitang kita mong gusto manalo, part of the game e. Pero walang pikunan after ng game same parin tropa parin sila walang nagbago,” he added.

The veteran tactician also went on to explain that the banters and trash talks were all just part of the game and that it only showed the players’ competitive nature and hunger for the win.

“Nagkwento nadin ako para sa mga fans ng ibat ibang teams sa MPL PH ganito talaga liga, sobrang competitive lahat in-game pero sa labas ng game lahat yan ngrerespetuhan at sana maging magkakaibigan lahat eventually pagtapos ng pandemic. Good vibes lang tayo mga boss,” said Yeb.

That was also in full display during the Grand Finals of the M3 where, despite losing to Blacklist and falling short of the M3 title, Coach Yeb’s wards were the first one to congratulate its compatriots for bringing back the tile to the PH soil.
