Kawit, Cavite mayor contracts COVID-19

KAWIT, Cavite – Mayor Angelo G. Aguinaldo has tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

"Kahit po ako ngayon ay positibo rin sa Omicron at eto’t sinisipon sabay ubo. Kaya po sa mga susunod na araw, Team Quarantine po muna ako (Even I am also positive for Omicron and I'm experiencing colds and cough. So for the next few days, I'll be in quarantine)," the mayor posted on Facebook.

The local government unit (LGU), meanwhile, announced the temporary closure of the Municipal Hall from Jan. 17 to Jan. 21 to curb the further spread of the virus.

The building and its facilities will be disinfected during the temporary closure.
