Episode 11 of Korean drama ‘Snowdrop’ rises in ratings


Episode 11 of the JTBC Korean drama “Snowdrop” starring Jung Hae-in and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo rose in the ratings.

According to Nielsen Korea, episode 11 of “Snowdrop” on Jan. 16 got a nationwide rating of 3.017 percent to place sixth in the top 10 programs in the general programming cable TV for the day based on total households subscribed to paid platforms in South Korea.

This is higher by 0.417 percentage points compared to episode 10 on Jan. 15, which received 2.6 percent and placed out of the top 10.

Based on the number of viewers, episode 11 was watched by 724,000 people (fifth place) nationwide in South Korea, higher by 64,000 people compared to 660,000 people (fourth place) for episode 10.

Oh Jung-se’s drama “Uncle” grabbed first place again among general programming cable TV shows on Jan. 16 with 8.341 percent while the 10th place is an MBN current affairs special with 2.581 percent.

In the Seoul metropolitan area, episode 11 of “Snowdrop” received a rating 3.127 percent to grab fifth place among general programming cable TV shows.

This is an increase of 0.638 percentage point from 2.489 percent (10th) “Snowdrop” got for episode 10.

Based on the number of viewers, episode 11 was watched by 289,000 people (fifth place) in the Seoul metropolitan area, higher by 34,000 viewers compared to 255,000 (fifth place) for episode 10.

In “Snowdrop,” Jung Hae-in is Im Soo-ho, a 27-year-old graduate student who is a North Korean spy sent to South Korea for a mission.

Jisoo is 20-year-old Eun Young-ro, a first year college student at Hosoo Women’s University. They meet during a group blind date after which Eun Young-ro falls in love with him.

The drama is about political conspiracy and espionage against the backdrop of the 1987 Korean presidential election and romance.

In the drama, the South and North Korean governments conspire for political power. Jung Hae-in plays the role of Im Soo-ho, a 27-year-old graduate student who is a North Korean spy sent to South Korea for a mission.

Jisoo is 20-year-old Eun Young-ro, a first year college student at Hosoo Women’s University. They meet during a group blind date after which Eun Young-ro falls in love with him. In episode 10, the drama continued with the hostage situation at the university dormitory.
