Aside from the addition of its young prospect in Kent Xavier “Kevier” Lopez and the return of veteran Mark “Eson”Gerardo, Blacklist International also loaded up in its coaching ranks with popular content creator Aniel "MASTER THE BASICS" Jiandan joining the two-time MPL champions as its assistant coach.

Known for his game analysis and hero tutorials on YouTube, Blacklist tapped Master the Basics to help head coach Kristoffer “Bon Chan” Ricaplaza in the squad’s three-peat bid for the upcoming MPL Philippines Season 9.
Master the Basic has been with the squad since its run in the MPL Invitational and was teased many times in Jonmar “OhmyV33nus” Villaluna’s streams as the team's new addition. The squad later on revealed that Master the Basics played a part and was key in Blacklist's draft strategies during in the M3 World Championship.
“We'd like to officially announce Aniel "MASTER THE BASICS" Jiandani, our new assistant coach. His knowledge of the game has helped the team with drafting and strategy for MPLI and M3, and we're glad to have him on board for the upcoming MPL-PH season,” said Blacklist in an announcement on its Facebook post.

Also joining Master the Basics as Bon Chan’s deputy was Dexter “Dex Star” Alaba as the team’s analyst while also taking the role of the team’s sixth man.
In the same post, Blacklist also revealed that roam/support Salic “Hadji” Imam is taking the captain role vacated by OhmyV33nus who along with Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario decided to sit out Season 9.
“We're also putting Hadji as the Captain. We're confident he'll be able to lead the team with his talent and experience.”
