Año to have swab test after end of isolation period

Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Año will end his isolation period and immediately undergo a swab test on Jan. 17 after his third bout with the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19).

In a message on Sunday, Jan 16, Año said that he continues to perform his DILG functions and is in a work from home scheme.

“Work from home ako sa ngayon (I am doing work from home as of now). I’m really fine. Very mild symptoms lang (Only very mild symptoms),’’ Año noted.

On Jan 10, Año said he was tested COVID-positive for the third time after several of his close contacts were also tested positive for the virus.

Año was first tested COVID-19 positive on March 31, 2020 and underwent a second test on April 8 which came out negative.

However, on August 16 of the same year, Año again was tested positive for the virus.

On Jan. 11, 2021 Año started his one-month leave as part of his then post-COVID health recovery plan. (Chito A. Chavez)
