The University of the East (UE) on Friday, Jan. 15, suspended classes in Manila and Caloocan campuses from Jan. 17 to 21.
In an advisory, UE said the suspension was made in light of Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso's announcement of a class suspension in the City from Jan. 14 to 21 due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases.
The resumption of classes in tertiary levels will be scheduled on Jan. 24, while those with Saturday classes will be on Jan. 22.
Meanwhile, UE President Ester A. Garcia's reply to the Show Cause Order (SCO) issued by the Office of the Mayor of City of Manila "has been emailed to the Mayor's office."
The Manila City government on Thursday, Jan. 13, issued an SCO to UE for non-compliance with the city's week-long health break.
