Police arrested seven drug suspects including a minor and seized P73,644 worth of illegal drugs in a series of buy-bust operations in Pasay City and Las Pinas City on Friday.
Col. Cesar Paday-os, Pasay City police chief, said members of the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) conducted an entrapment operation which resulted in the arrest of Lito Recto, 39; John Paul Ebajo, 30; and Bernard Malakas, 22 -- all listed in the police drug watchlist; and a 16-year-old boy.
Paday-os said the suspects yielded 2.73 grams of shabu worth P18,564 when they were nabbed at about 10:05 p.m. at 51 Maryluz St., M. Dela Cruz, Barangay 127 Zone 13, Pasay.
In Las Pinas City, three drug suspects were apprehended in separate operations.
Two drug suspects -- Eugene Cosme Salazar, 27, and Ma. Erica Nuesca Balintas, 24 -- were arrested at about 11:00 p.m. on Friday during a buy- bust operation conducted by the Drug Enforcement Unit at Sampaguita Compound in Barangay Pilar, Las Pinas City.
Confiscated from them were four heat-sealed transparent sachets containing 7.8 grams of shabu amounting to P53,040.
The Southern Police District (SPD) said one Ranny Caneno, 21, was arrested during the Oplan Galugad conducted by Las Pinas police operatives at about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday on Bouganvilla St. in TS Cruz Subdivision, Barangay Almanza Dos.
Police seized from Caneno P2,040 worth of shabu.
The confiscated drugs were turned over to the SPD Forensic Unit for confirmatory test while the arrested suspects were detained at the Pasay and Las Pinas custodial facilities.
