The Taguig City government imposed curfew on minors and the use of face shields and face masks in public transportation under Alert Level 3.

Taguig Safe City Task Force issued Advisory No. 63 to update guidelines for certain activities in the city.

Under the advisory, a curfew is implemented for minors aged 17 years and below from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

The use of face shield is required in public transportation in Taguig (Taguig City government)

“The ‘No Face Mask, No Face Shield, No Ride’ Policy shall be strictly enforced in all modes of public transportation or employee shuttle service, except that face shields shall not be required for motorcycle taxis," according to the advisory.

“Passengers and drivers who willfully disregard this policy must be refused entry or prohibited from operating any public utility vehicle (PUV),” it added.

Persons who are not allowed to ride any public utility vehicle except when buying essential needs, going to work in permitted industries or offices, or medical emergencies are any person below 18 or more than 65 years old, those with immunodeficiency, comorbidities, or other health risks, and pregnant women.

Other provisions of the advisory on transportation include the following:

- Passengers in any type of PUV or employee shuttle service must be seated at least one (1) seat apart, except for motorcycle taxis and those expressly provided by the IATF-EID or the DOTr.

- Drivers and operators of PUVs and employee shuttle service vehicles must provide alcohol or hand sanitizers inside their vehicles.

- The terminal operator shall check the body temperature of all passengers before providing the service. In case the body temperature is above 37.5°C, the passenger shall not be allowed to ride the vehicle and asked to return home.

- Eating inside PUVs and employee shuttle services is strictly prohibited. Talking, and making or taking phone calls are strongly discouraged.

- The terminal operator shall maintain a logbook of the names of the passengers, the time of their departure, as well as the vehicle code or plate number of the PUV the passenger rode. The record shall be submitted to the City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit (CEDSU), should the need arise.

Tricycle operators and drivers are allowed to have a maximum of two passengers per travel: one in the sidecar and the other as a back rider. Back-to-back type tricycles are allowed to have three passengers per trip.

For jeepneys, buses and UV Express vehicles are allowed to operate with 70 percent vehicle capacity excluding the driver and conductor.

In addition, the advisory stated that fully vaccinated individuals who want to access indoor areas of allowed establishments must present a valid proof of vaccination.

For those who got vaccinated in Taguig, they need to present their Taguig Vaccination Card or Digital Vaccine Health Pass. For those vaccinated outside Taguig, they need to show their vaccination certificate and a valid government-issued ID with picture and address.
