British man deported after being barred from entry in Davao airport
The Bureau of Immigration at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) implemented an exclusion order on a British national who was found to have incomplete travel documents upon arrival at the Davao International Airport.

The BI identified the deported foreigner as Martin John Smith, 63, who arrived at the Davao airport last January 5 onboard Philippine Airline flight PR-659.
He was escorted by Immigration authorities from Davao to Manila and deported via another PAL flight bound to Dubai as his port of origin before making a connecting flight to his country on Thursday, Jan. 13.
According to BI, Smith failed to present a document clearance from the Department of Foreign Affairs' (DFA) Philippine Embassy in the United Kingdom.
Smith was charged in violation of Section 29 Article 17 of Philippine Immigration law in connection with revised guidelines of the IATF-MEID Resolution Nos. 97 and 98 series of 2021 which only allow foreigners with valid visa and an exemption document from the Philippine embassy to enter the Philippines.
