It has been said that art often imitates life and vice versa.
Sue Ramirez agrees, noting how some of the roles she did prior almost always follow the edict.
But if there’s one thing that she hopes will not go that route and actually happen in real life, it is that of her being the “other woman” like what she is to portray in the upcoming “The Broken Marriage Vow.”
“I really hope not,” she said. “I mean, I have never been in a situation like that in real life, thank God and I sure hope na hindi mangyari ever.”
Not that she looks down on people who are in that boat.
“I’m not judging. Love can make people do crazy things. I know people who were in that situation and I know how hard it is so, personally, I won’t judge. All that said, I really hope it won’t happen to me in real life.”
Her stand on the matter?
“Ang mali ay mali. Dapat alam natin yun. We should be able to turn our back from something that is ultimately wrong.”

So why did she agree to play one?
“Well, I’m an actress and I want to evolve, improve. I think my character, Lexy, is very interesting, very challenging, and it excites me.
“I could only be grateful to land the role. This is something I really wanted to do. I believe I will learn a lot from it I think it will allow me to grow more as actress.”
Pinoys hate the “other woman” with passion even if they are only fictional. Is Sue ready for the expected bashing?
“Hindi ako natatakot ma –bash. I’m sure our viewers are already mature and wise enough to understand that I’m just playing a role and Lexy is not me. Actually, may inis din ako kay Lexy and I play her so I understand where some people are coming from.”
