Over P100,000 worth of shabu seized in Cavite buy-bust

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested six suspected illegal drugs personalities and seized some P103,500 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Bacoor City, Cavite on Tuesday, Jan. 11.

They were identified as Christian Abad, Maverick Samonte, Jethro Trigueros, Vergilio Trigueros, Jomari Guillera and Sonny Boy Singco.

Aside from the15 grams of shabu, PDEA agents also confiscated one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing shabu used in the drug bust operation, seven transparent plastic sachets with suspected to be shabu, four pieces of aluminum foil strips, two pieces of aluminum foil used as improvised needle, two pieces of aluminum foil used as improvised tooter, three lighters one cherry mobile cellphone and two genuine P100 bill.

It was revealed that Abad was the subject of the buy-bust operation when the other suspects were arrested.

The suspects face violations of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, and 15, Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’ (Chito A. Chavez)
