As the next step of its booster vaccination campaign, Manila city will launch a drive-thru booster vaccination campaign for four-wheel vehicles, the city government announced on Wednesday, Jan. 12.

The campaign is set to launch on Thursday, Jan. 13 from 8 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Quirino Grandstand in Ermita, Manila and will cater to all four-wheel vehicles only.
According to the city government, around 1,500 doses of booster vaccine will be deployed daily with a target of accommodating 300 vehicles, or five passengers per vehicle.
A first come, first serve policy will also be imposed for those seeking to avail of the booster, said Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso during his Facebook livestream on Tuesday, Jan. 11.
“Talagang naka-stretch na po nang todo ‘yung ating medical frontliners sa vaccination...gagawa po ako ng paraan (Our medical frontliners are spread thin for vaccination duty... I’ll find a way), just give me 48 hours. I-uupdate ko kayo kaagad kung matutupad ang inyong kahilingan (I’ll update you right away if we can fulfill your request),” he said.
Meanwhile, the local government also extended their similar drive-thru booster campaign albeit for two-wheel vehicles until Wednesday, Jan. 12 at the Bonifacio Shrine beside Manila City Hall.
Both campaigns for four-wheel and two-wheel vehicles are open to the fully-vaccinated general population, even those not residing in Manila.
