Claudine Barretto on 'reconciliation' with sister Marjorie

"We really celebrated New Year with a bang."

This is how actress Claudine Barretto described her much-talked about reunion with sister Marjorie and her kids in Olongapo.

The seasoned star detailed, “Maganda ang simula ng taon ko dahil nakasama ko ang buong pamilya ko. Nag-New Year kami sa Subic at kasama ko yung mga pamangkin ko, mga anak ni Marjorie. Magkasama-sama kami, we really celebrated New Year with a bang, with so much love and peace of mind."

“New Year was really really that fun. We all spent it sa Olongapo, sa bahay namin sa Subic with my whole family. First time na nabuo yung pamilya namin, except yung dalawang ate ko kasi nasa abroad."

She reiterated: "We were all together, especially my nieces and nephews, kasama ko noong New Year. Sinalubong namin yung New Year with so much love and happiness and so much peace."

Last year, Claudine talked about her love-hate relationship with sisters Marjorie and Gretchen.

On Marjorie, Claudine said that the last time they saw each other was during the wake of their father in 2019.

Asked to describe Marjorie, Claudine said: “Before she’s caring.”

Prior, Marjorie also opened up about her reason for not speaking to her sisters.

According to her, it’s not out of “hate” but rather out of “peace.”
