CEB flexible flight options extended

With flight delays and on-the-spot cancellations and many of its workforce either sick or under home quarantine due to the latest COVID-19 surge, Cebu Pacific ( CEB) has extended flexible options for all passengers with domestic and international flights until January 23, 2022.

Passengers traveling for non-essential purposes can rebook for travel within 60 days at no additional cost, following CEB’s permanent removal of change fees. The fare difference will be waived.

They can also store the amount in a virtual CEB wallet valid for two years and use this to either book a new flight or pay for add-ons, such as baggage allowance, seat selection, etc.

The can also refund their ticket cost although the process may take up to two months from the date of request.

“We are working non-stop to minimize impact on crew and passengers. The health and safety of everyone remain our top priority and we continue to humbly ask for your patience as we manage this situation to the best of our capabilities,” says Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific Vice President for Marketing and Customer Experience in a statement issued last night, Jan. 11.

CEB also cancelled a number of flights on January 12, 2022.

Affected passengers have been informed through the contact details provided in their booking. They may conveniently choose their preferred option (rebook, travel fund, refund) online through the Manage Booking portal on the Cebu Pacific website until 30 days from date of departure.

Cancelled flights include:

· 5J893/894 Manila – Boracay (Caticlan) - Manila

· 5J905/906 Manila – Boracay (Caticlan) - Manila

· 5J787/788 Manila – Butuan - Manila

· 5J567/568 Manila – Cebu - Manila

· 5J581/582 Manila – Cebu - Manila

· 5J975/976 Manila – Davao - Manila

· 5J447/448 Manila – Iloilo – Manila

· 5J373/374 Manila – Roxas - Manila

· 5J653/654 Manila – Tacloban – Manila

· 5J506/507 Manila – Tuguegarao - Manila

· 5J5054/5055 Manila – Narita (Tokyo) - Manila

· 5J310/311 Manila – Taipei – Manila

CEB operates with 100 percent fully vaccinated active flying crew. Its pilots and cabin crew undergo regular antigen testing (Test Before Duty) before they are assigned to operate flights.

CEB has already started its booster program to ensure the continued safety of its employees and passengers.
