Baloyskie-Hatred midlane duo leads Onic's intact roster

Onic Philippines will be bannered by the same crew that brought the franchise to a bridesmaid finish in the M3 World Championship last month.

Onic PH announced its full roster on Wednesday, Jan 12 with Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy and star jungler Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol still leading the squad.

Also still in the crew was Jaylord “Hatred” Gonzales who proved to be a revelation in the M3 Worlds after moving to the support role to form a deadly midlane duo with then squad’s roamer in Baloyskie.

It will be the first time that MPL PH will get a first-hand experience of Onic’s new midlane duo which coach Denver “Yebmaester” Miranda first used during the world championship.

Marky “Markyyy” Capacio and Gerald “Dlarskie” Tinchera continue to man the sidelanes for the MPL Season 8 second placers while Ian “Beemo” Sergio, Mico “Micophobia” Tarala and Nowee “Ryota” Cabilo provide Onic the flexibility in its lineup.

That flexibility will allow Coach Yeb to continue to play around his main five every game – something that he did and worked to perfection last season when Onic had its resurgence with a second-best 9-5 win-loss slate in S8.

Onic has the momentum and confidence heading to the new season especially after a dominating performance in M3. The PH representative embarked to an unbeaten run in the upper bracket where it clobbered some of the world’s best teams in RRQ Hoshi and BloodThirstyKings with sweet sweeps.

The squad’s two Grand Finals loss against Blacklist International in M3 Worlds and MPL PH Season 8 proved to be the only damper to Onic’s scintillating run last season.
