K-pop boy band and “million seller” ENHYPEN made their comeback on Jan. 10 with the release of their new album “Dimension: Answer.”

This is the repackaged version of their first studio album “Dimension: Dilemma,” which was released last Oct. 12.

According to Hanteo Chart, “Dimension: Answer” sold 247,447 copies on the first day of release on Jan. 10 to top the daily physical album chart.

ENHYPEN returned just three months after “Dimension: Dilemma” and during their media showcase for their new album, they talked about how they prepared for the album and their goals.

“We are back just after three months for the repackaged first full length album ‘Dimension: Answer.’ We worked really hard for it so we hope you like it,” said Jungwon.

“Dimension: Answer” is an 11-track album fronted by the lead single “Blessed-Cursed” and two other new songs: “Polaroid Love,” and “Outro : Day 2.”

The carrier track “Blessed-Cursed” is a hybrid hip-hop song that fuses hip-hop and 1970s hard rock. Accepting what was given to the boys and being tamed by the rules of society seemed like a “blessing,” but now that they‘ve realized the truths of the world, this all rather feels like a “curse,” and the track is the band’s declaration to the world—“I’ll go my own way.”

ENHYPEN achieved “million seller” with “Dimension: Dilemma.” According to Gaon Chart’s year-end report chart for 2021, the album recorded 1,205,949 copies in sales under the album chart.

However, ENHYPEN’s scheduled comeback was delayed after six of them tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in September. The album was released in October.

“Personally, I had a little regret about our last studio album promotion because our comeback was slightly delayed due to unexpected circumstances. I felt sorry for not being able to see Engenes sooner,” said Jay.

For the new album, Sunghoon said, “Since we received so much love for our first ever full length album, I am sure we can show how much ENHYPEN has grown.”

When asked about their goals for “Dimension: Answer,” Jay said, “With this new album, we would like to show more people who ENHYPEN is.”

“Just like what Jay said, I wanto show more people who we are. We still have some room to grow and improve,” said Ni-ki.

Heeseung said he wants to see their fans in person, commenting, “I said this last year as well. I want to perform more in person for Engene.”

ENHYPEN have been called the Global Rising Star of K-pop and Jungwon said he is thankful for the tag.

“I am so grateful that we are called the Rising Star of K-pop. We have gone platinum. And broke our record on the Billboard 200 chart. All this is possible thanks to Engene’s love and support,” he said.

The emcee of the media showcase said when she saw ENHYPEN perform at the event, it reminded her of BTS because of the synchronized choreography.

Jungwon said he wants ENHYPEN to be like BTS when it comes to performances.

“I learned a lot from BTS as they are famous for their performances. I studied their performances a lot. I really wanted to learn how they pull off such perfectly synchronized choreography so I studied their performances a lot. I want ENHYPEN to become a group like BTS that is recognized for their performances,” he said.
