The Quezon City Veterinary Department (QCVD) announced on Monday, Jan. 10, that the free anti-rabies vaccination, spay and neuter services for cats and dogs being held in all barangays are temporarily suspended due to the surge of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the city.
Dog and cat owners can still bring their pets to the city hall's Civic Center A or to the Quezon City Animal Care and Adoption Center located in Barangay Payatas to get anti-rabies shots, the QCVD said.
The centers are open Mondays to Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., except on holidays.
The QCVD said that teleconsultations for the pets can also be held by sending a message to their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/QCVDgovph/
It added that the said services are halted until further notice and pet owners can contact their department for other concerns.
