Miss Globe 2021 Maureen Montagne on coping with COVID-19
More and more personalities are opening up about their COVID-19 journey.
Miss Globe 2021 Maureen Montagne shared she's currently in self-isolation as she tested positive for COVID-19.
"It’s unfortunate that half way through my long awaited visit home I caught the virus but I’m happy was able to get tested early and my symptoms weren’t too bad," she wrote on Instagram.
Maureen had been away from her family for three years and she was so emotional celebrating with them during the recent holidays.

The beauty queen is thankful that she was fully vaccinated when she got the deadly virus.
She then encouraged everyone to get vaccinated if they haven’t already.
"If you think you might be positive too right now please get tested to make sure you’re not spreading the virus so we can take care of our family, friends, and coworkers alike. I’ve had to move my international flight home til the end of the month but I’m thankful I’m here safe and sound with my parents," she shared. "I hope you’re all safe and healthy, I encourage everyone to continue following the safety protocols and to wear mask! We’ll get thru this together."
On the other hand, on her Instagram story, Maureen answered some of her fans' questions including the details of her coping mechanism.
She said: "Definitely laughter and love!"
The 28-year-old model related that when she's down and out, she would force herself to be productive so she won't "sulk and get stuck in a rut."
"I know as a Cancer (her Zodiac sign) I'm highly emotional and I'm always in my feels so I try my best to work past negative emotions. I give myself a day to cry then it's time to be a boss lady!," she maintained.
"Life is so much better when you realize how blessed you are, practicing gratefulness truly changes your world and perspective on life."
How about her thoughts when she found out that she tested positive for COVID-19?
Maureen admitted feeling "sad" and "guilty."
"I feel like as a reigning queen I should be doing more but I've been sick since Christmas. I have a lot of secret projects getting released soon so I'm excited to share them with you guys," she said.
"I feel like we judge people by what they post, and I haven't been posting much, so I can't wait to share everything I've been working on."
With that, Maureen comforts herself by reminding herself that people can work silently and still be powerful.
"It's so important to focus on being grateful and peace when life gives you lemons!"
Updating on her health, Maureen assured her fans that she's feeling "better."
"But it's a bit scary still testing positive," she said.
"I'm lucky and just have a cough with phlegm and I didn't lose my taste or smell. I'm going to get retested this week and hopefully I'll be negative! I'm thankful my symptoms are mild."
