Registration still open for the 2022 Petron Philippine Overland Expedition

Last June, Mototesto in cooperation with Petron Corporation, and official battery partner, Motolite Philippines, gave a preview of what will be the biggest overlanding event of the year. On October 12 to 16, thirty teams will head to the uncharted terrain of General Nakar, Quezon for the 2022 Petron Philippine Overland Expedition.

Registration for the competition runs until September 30 and those interested may visit the PHOX2022 website. For those planning to participate, mud-terrain tires and recovery equipment such as a winch and snorkel are a must to be able to enter the event.

As this event comes closer, the 2022 Petron Overland Expedition team is more rewarding for competing teams and campers alike. For a P25,000.00 registration fee per vehicle, each rig will get to experience a challenge like no other while loaded with P5,000 worth of Petron fuel, plus P3,000 worth of exclusive event giveaways. Teams that availed of the ‘Early Promo’ were also able to get Motolite’s newest product, the Excel EFB. This is a battery that is designed for endurance and gives the best performance even under the most grueling conditions.  Aside from all these exciting freebies, the winning team is set to take home P500,000 in cash, and the glory of being crowned the first Petron Philippine Overland Expedition Champion.

Meanwhile, at the Overland Expo, campers can register until October 7. For only P7,500.00/rig regardless of number of occupants, the package includes a camping fee, event tokens, plus a 70% off voucher on Motolite’s Excel EFB battery of Motolite. Campers will begin their Overland Expo on October 14, starting from General Nakar Municipal Hall before they set-up at the campsite for three days and two nights of off-grid, nature-loving adventure.

On top of these package inclusions, CST Tires is offering an exclusive ‘Buy 3, Take 1’ Promo to all registered competitors and campers. CST Tires is widely known for its high-performance bike tires, however, their partnership with the biggest overlanding event of the year is a strong message that they mean serious business when it comes to equipping 4-wheel vehicles in the most challenging trails and journeys.

In preparation for this overlanding experience, competitors, campers, and interested participants gathered last September 11 for the official PHOX2022 briefing at The Clubhouse at Third Greenmeadows. They were given an overview of what to expect and everything that they need to know before they embark in this lifestyle and adventure like no other.
