2022 APAN Star Awards: Song Joong-ki bags grand prize; Jung Hae-in, Lee Jun-ho win

Korean actor Song Joong-ki emerged as the biggest winner at the 2022 APAN Star Awards held on Sept. 29 in South Korea.

This year’s awards ceremony recognized Korean dramas that aired from March 2021 to July 2022 on terrestrial, cable, OTT and web channels.

Song Joong-ki won the “daesang” or grand prize for the drama “Vincenzo,” which aired from February to May 2021.

“The Red Sleeve,” starring Lee Jun-ho and Lee Se-young, which aired from November 2021 to January 2022, won drama of the year over “Squid Game,” "Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” "My Liberation Notes" and "Our Blues."

The award for best director went to Jung Ji-in and Song Yeon-hwa of “The Red Sleeve” while the best screenwriter was awarded to Moon Ji-won of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo.”

Jung Hae-in, Lee Jun-ho and Joo Sang-wook won the Top Excellence Awards for Actor for OTT, miniseries and serial drama.

Kim Sung-ryung, Shin Min-ah and Park Jin-hee took home the Top Excellence Awards for Actress for OTT, miniseries and serial drama.
