Muntinlupa LGU distributes allowances to city scholars 


The Muntinlupa City government has distributed the allowances of its scholars from different schools in Muntinlupa.

According to the Muntinlupa Scholarship Division (MSD), the allowances were for the second tranche of educational assistance for school year 2021 to 2022.

As face-to-face classes have resumed, the allowances were distributed in schools with strict observance of health and safety protocols including the mandatory wearing of face masks and social distancing.

On Sept 27, 878 students from Grades 2 to 6 received their allowances at Buli Elementary School while 931 Grade 7 to 10 students received theirs at Muntinlupa Science High School.

The following day, 3,431 students from Grade 1 to 6 at Alabang Elementary School received their allowances of P2,000 each.

On Sept. 29, the MSD distributed allowances to 2,099 students at Poblacion National High School.

Data from the MSD showed that as of August 2022, there are 82,442 scholars of the Muntinlupa City government.

Of the total, 71,195 are in the elementary up to senior high school; 9,262 in college; 258 in professional development; and 1,727 in other educational assistance.

Education is one of the priorities of Mayor Ruffy Biazon under his 7K Agenda consisting of Katarungan, Karunungan, Kalusugan, Kaunlaran, Kapayapaan/Kaayusan, Kabuhayan, at Kalikasan (Justice, Education, Health, Economic Progress, Peace and Order, Livelihood, Environment).
