P3.4-M shabu seized in Sorsogon drug bust


LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – The Philippine National Police (PNP) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested two suspected drug pushers and seized 500 grams of shabu valued at P3.4 million in a buy-bust operation in Matnog, Sorsogon on Tuesday, Sept. 28.

Lt. Col. Maria Luisa Calubaquid, Police Regional Office-5 spokesperson, identified the suspects as Francisco M. Cawa III, 46, of Malate, Manila, and Raffy S. Tepace, 28, of Norala, South Cotabato.

The newly identified drug personalities were arrested after they sold shabu to a police poseur-buyer.

Half a kilo of suspected shabu worth P3.4 million was recovered from the pair.

Suspects were brought to the Matnog Municipal Police Station (MPS) while the confiscated illegal drugs are now under the custody of PNP Drug Enforcement Unit 5 for proper disposition.
