LUBUAGAN, Kalinga -- Over 500 residents benefited from the free medical-dental outreach program of the Medical Reserve Force of Kalinga Police Provincial Office held Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Sitio Latawan, Barangay Uma, Lubuagan.

Also joining the outreach program were the Provincial Community Affairs and Development Unit (PCADU), 1st KPMFC, 2nd KPMFC, and Provincial Medical and Dental Unit (PMDU) in partnership with the PLGU, line agencies, and other private sectors.
BGen. Mafelino Bazar, regional director of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera, said that the main objective of the program was to bring government services closer to the people.
The medical mission was done after the launching of the Revitalized Philippine National Police’s ‘Kasimbayanan’ Program.

The Kasimbayanan (Kapulisan, Simbahan, at Pamayanan) is a Community Mobilization Program highlighting the synergized and collaborative partnership between the PNP and the general public through the intervention and help of the religious sector toward the goal of a holistic transformation that involves the PNP and the community it serves and protects.
The outreach program provided medical and dental consultations, tooth extraction, circumcision, free haircut, COVID-19 vaccination, distribution of free medicines, and other health services.
Personnel also distributed information, education and communication (IEC) materials on anti-terrorism and anti-illegal drugs to convey to the public government’s campaign against these issues.
Calling cards containing the different emergency hotline numbers of police stations and units in Kalinga were also disseminated.
In line with this program, Kalinga Provincial Police Office, in partnership with its stakeholders, will continue to provide services to the people to strengthen the relationship between the community and the police.
