Online bashing is an unfortunate reality in today's social media-powered world. It can have adverse effects on the personality being bashed. Talents of MPJ Network owned by director Perry Escaño recently gave wise advice on how to deal with trolling and other negative remarks which even ordinary people experience.

"Let's think about it in a positive light. Bashers are somehow part of our fandom. They're the ones who wait for our posts and track every move we do online. So in a way, they're people we should be grateful for. They always keep us on our toes," said 17-year-old professional singer Sofi Fermazi who is making a name as the "Darling of Cover Songs" because of what she features on her YouTube channel.

Sofi is a host of the show "Millennials Lifestyle" which premieres tomorrow (Sept.29) on leading entertainment app Kumu. Hosting with her are other upcoming stars like Chesca Orolfo, Archie Alcantara and Lyra Sloan. They will talk about love and courtship topics, music, concerts, videos, games and other trends millennials have an affinity with.

Chesca said she ignores bashers because "they really can't be avoided. In a way, they also motivate the artist to strive more and improve."

Aside from "Millennials Lifestyle," MPJ Network is also launching two other shows on the same date on Kumu and their YouTube Premium channel. These are "Kids Toy Kingdom" which will be aired every Thursday from 6 to 7pm and the "Simply Exquisite Show" airing from 8 to 9 p.m.

"Kids Toy Kingdom" is hosted by talented young artists Tom Leano and Hannah Ortiz. It will talk about interesting toy collections of top collectors and will feature both modern and vintage toys.

On the other hand, professional host and streamer Nicky Gilbert is the face of "Simply Exquisite Show" which will put the spotlight on fashion trends, designers, interior designs, food, travel destinations and other lifestyle topics. For the pilot episode, the guest will be model, entrepreneur and beauty queen Pearl Gonzalez who was last seen in the movie "Kuta."

All the hosts are part of the MPJ Angels Artists' Pool managed by filmmaker/director Perry Escaño and Noreen " Mommy Angel" Espejon, former handler of ExBattalion and Kuh Ledesma.

Nicky said she views bashers in a positive light because they make people curious about you and thus improve the recall or visibility of the artist concerned.

Tom and Hannah have had their share of negative interactions in their young age. They just choose to block or delete the comments for the sake of their mental health.

Lyra said she has not been bashed but when this happens, she will just use it to improve herself "Alam ko naman sa sarili ko kung sino ako at may mga tao kagaya ng family ko na kilalang ako," she noted.

Chesca's advice is to just ignore the bashing. "If ever ma-encounter ko ito, deadma na lang kasi wala namang mapapala sa kanila. Kahit saang industry may mga bashers talaga, hindi talaga yun maiiiwasan. Ang magagawa na lang talaga is deadma and isa rin naman sila sa reasons kung bakit magsusumikap ang isang tao," she pointed out.
