“Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” debuted at No. 1 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 chart and emerged as the most watched title on the platform this week.
The series, about American serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer who killed 17 men and boys from 1978 to 1991, garnered 196.2 million hours viewed on Netflix from Sept. 19 to 25 to top the English TV list.
“Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” is the No. 1 most viewed title in 63 countries and regions out of 92 markets where it placed in the top 10.
In 1992, Dahmer was sentenced to 16 life terms. Dahmer was killed by a fellow inmate in November 1994 at the Columbia Correctional Institution in Wisconsin in the US.
On the other hand, “Narco-Saints,” the Korean series based on the story of Korean drug lord Cho Bong-haeng who operated in Suriname, dropped to second place on the non-English TV list with 27.44 million hours viewed from No. 1 last week.
The Mexican drama “El Rey, Vicente Fernández” rose to No. 1 from No. 3 with 33.34 million hours viewed.
Three other Korean titles in the top 10 are “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” No. 4 (16.89 million hours viewed); “Little Women,” No. 5 (15.02 million hours viewed); and “Young Lady and Gentleman,” No. 6 (14.74 million hours viewed).
The Thai limited series “Thai Cave Rescue” debuted at No. 8 with 13.41 million hours viewed.
