DOT sees new Clark airport’s new passenger terminal as another jumping point for PH tourism


President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. on Wednesday, Sept. 28, led the grand opening of the new passenger terminal building of the Clark International Airport (CRK) in Angeles, Pampanga.

The President was joined by First lady Liza Araneta Marcos, Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista, Luzon International Premier Airport Development (LIPAD) Corporation Chairman Frederick Go, and Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) Chairman of the Board of Directors Delfin N. Lorenzana.

The Department of Tourism (DOT) saw the opening of the new terminal of the Clark International Airport as a jumping point for welcoming more tourists visiting the country.

Frasco vowed to continue pushing for programs that will promote Filipino brand of tourism in the global arena.

“The President has clearly identified tourism as a major tool for the economic resurgence of the Philippines,” said Frasco.

Also present during the grand opening of a new passenger terminal in CRK were BCDA President and Chief Executive Officer (PCEO) Aileen Zosa, Changi Airports International (CAI) Director and Head of Operations Andrew Tan, Philippine Airport Ground Support Solutions, Inc. (PAGSS) Chairman Jefferson Cheng, Clark Development Corporation (CDC) Acting President and CEO Agnes Devanadera, Pampanga Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, and other local government officials.
