Aboitiz Data partners with logistics solutions provider

Aboitiz Data Innovation (ADI) and local software developer Shiptek Solutions Corporation (Shiptek) recently forged a partnership to operationalize Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAI) in the logistics industry.

ADI is helping businesses maximize the use of data and DSAI in the banking and financial services sectors, specifically.

With this new partnership, ADI will combine its DSAI expertise with that of Shiptek’s in the logistics industry.

ADI and Shiptek are leveraging the latter’s digital platform XLOG to develop innovative DSAI solutions.

“XLOG has a solid foundation in place to help enable the logistics and shipping industries to manage and monitor transactions online," said Shiptek Chief Operations Officer Joey Ynion.

"By leveraging the data we have on hand, we believe this strategic collaboration with ADI will help stakeholders such as importers, exporters, forwarders, and trucking operators have the proper resources and financial support in place to drive success,” he elaborated.

The collaborative project can revolutionize the logistics industry, hastening its growth, improving financial sustainability in the supply chain, increasing operational efficiency, and combating illegal transactions, such as fraud and smuggling.

“Implementing DSAI solutions make life easier and better for all," said ADI Managing Director Dr. David R. Hardoon.

"We have all seen the positive impact alternative credit scoring has and continues to have on MSMEs – increasing financial sustainability and providing greater financial support to those in need," he explained.

"Soon the stakeholders in the logistics industry will also begin to see the same results.”

On top of everything, the partners want to pave the way for other industries to leverage next-gen technologies, like blockchain and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
