BANGUED, Abra – Police arrested two suspected drug pushers and seized marijuana valued at P120,000 in a buy-bust operation in Zone 7 here on Tuesday, Sept. 27.
Col. Maly Cula, Abra police chief, in a report to Brig. Gen. Mafelino Bazar, Police Regional Office-Cordillera director, identified the suspects as street-level Individuals Alex D. Mendiola, 33, alias “Kumaw,” of Las Pinas City, and Nelson Ore Orong, 32, alias “Dodong,” of Bacoor City, Cavite.
Police intelligence operatives managed to order marijuana from the duo who agreed to deliver the item here.
Suspects arrived in a bus from Manila at 9:30 p.m. and were arrested after they sold marijuana to police agents.
Recovered from the suspects were three cling wrapped elongated roll containing suspected dried marijuana leaves, stalks, and fruiting tops weighing an estimated one kilo and valued at P120,000; the buy-bust money, two P1,000 bills, a red and black shopping bag, small brown envelope, three Blue Water filter housing, and a black mobile phone.
The operation was recorded through an Alternative Recording Device (ARD) and witnessed by Marlbour Valera, kagawad (councilor) of Barangay Calaba here and a media representative.
