Known for his films "Dead Kids", "Eerie", "Birdshot", and "Arisaka", rising director Mikhail Red brings out another thrilling film entitled "Deleter."

In an exclusive teaser released by Variety, the film follows the story of Lyra, who works as an online content moderator who deletes violent videos online. Her nightmare began when she deleted the suicide video of her co-worker played by Louise delos Reyes.

Although there is still no release date for the film, it is set to wrap up this year.

In Mikhail's exclusive interview with Variety, the director shared how the film is an exploration of the dark secrets of online moderation.

"Moderators work in clandestine or shadowy operations and are often exposed to the filth of society, watching countless videos and images with disturbing and graphic content, which can lead to lasting trauma, as well as psychological and emotional distress all for a low wage," Mikhail mentioned in the interview.

"Deleter" is the first collaboration between Nadine and Mikhail. After her three-year hiatus focusing on her music, Nadine came back with her first film "Creed", while Mikhail did his last film "Arisaka" starring Maja Salvador and Mon Confiado. (Carissa Alcantara)
