The Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), in an advisory, said gutter-deep flood water was seen along Kalaw Ave. facing Taft Ave.; Taft Ave. in front of Philippine Normal University; Taft Ave. in front of the National Bureau of Investigation; Villegas St. to Manila City Hall; San Marcelino St. in front of Adamson University; J. Bocobo St., Fugoso St.; and Avenida Recto as of 5 p.m.

The DRRMO said it is conducting a roving operation to check the condition of other areas in the city.

On Tuesday morning, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said cloudy skies and scattered rain showers may persist in Metro Manila until Wednesday, Sept. 28, due to the southwest monsoon or “habagat” and the trough or extension of typhoon “Karding”.
