Following a short break from showbiz, actress Bea Binene is back and now under the management of Viva Artists Agency, Inc. (VAA).
During a virtual mediacon with the entertainment press last Friday, Bea said she's not ready to accept roles that would require her to show some skin.
"Naku yun po ang una kong sinabi noong nag-meeting kami dito sa Viva. Sabi ko parang hindi ko pa kaya yun. Ang movies naman ng Viva Films hindi naman lahat sexy or daring. For sure meron naman tayong magagawang ibang project dyan pero yung pagpapasexy parang hindi ko pa po kaya," said Bea.

The former Kapuso star added: "We're still talking about it, but one thing is for sure, hindi ko pa po kayang maghubad. Yun po muna ang masasabi ko. I'll keep you updated, and hopefully I'll be more visible. I will share it na lang sa social media kapag may concrete plan na or may mga specific projects na."
Bea, 24, also shared another dream project she would love to do in front of the camera.
"Actually, it's still my dream to become a reporter or news anchor. Hangga't andyan po yung dream na yun siguro hindi ko po talaga carry na maging daring," she added.

Among the news anchors and broadcasters, Bea idolizes award-winning Kapuso broadcasters Mel Tiangco and Vicky Morales.
"I've always looked up to Tita Mel Tiangco because I grew up with GMA News and Public Affairs, and I've been active in volunteering for GMA Kapuso Foundation dati pa. At saka si Ms Vicky Morales kasi ang tagal ko siyang nakatrabaho. Nakakasama ko siya sa The Good News. Talagang I look up to them," she also said.
During her showbiz break, Bea has been busy taking an online short course on culinary studies since the pandemic started. While Bea took a break from mainstream TV series and movies to focus on her studies, she was still very much active as a social media influencer, as evidenced by the many brand campaigns she has posted on her Instagram account.
Now that Bea is with Viva, fans can expect her to do more mainstream projects again in the next coming months. Back in 2021, Bea has not renewed her contract with TV network GMA-7. With her joining the Viva family, she is excited to see what options she has in exploring opportunities outside of just one network.

Bea started her showbiz career after being a finalist in GMA-7’s talent search show StarStruck Kids back in 2004. She made her movie debut the same year with ‘Kilig…Pintig…Yanig…’ But Bea was best known for her starring roles in the GMA-7 afternoon TV series Hanggang Makitang Kang Muli (2016) and the drama fantasy series Mulawin vs Ravena (2017). She also starred in memorable GMA-7 projects prior like Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote (2010) and Ilumina (2010).
Bea’s acting chops have earned recognition, such as her winning Most Outstanding Female Teleserye Artist and the prestigious German Moreno Youth Achievement Award at the 58th FAMAS Awards in 2010.
Joining Viva also brings new music opportunities for Bea who released a few albums in the past, even bagging a Gold Record Award and a Promising Female Singer/Performer award. Indeed, there is much to expect from Bea’s return to the limelight.
