10-wheeler truck plows into 6 vehicles in QC; no casualties

A multiple-car accident involving seven vehicles was the cause of traffic congestion along Aurora Katipunan Flyover in Quezon City on Tuesday morning, Sept. 27.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said the a 10-wheeler trailer truck, two taxi cabs, two sports utility vehicles (SUV),and two other vehicles were involved in the incident which occurred at the southbound lane of the flyover at around 8:46 a.m.

The MMDA Metro Base said that based on their initial report, the trailer truck plowed into the other vehicles after the driver lost control of its brakes.

No one was reported injured, it added.

The incident occupied three lanes of the flyover which caused moderate traffic.

The MMDA said its enforcers responded to assist and the area was cleared of the smashed vehicles at around 9:56 a.m.
