The Philippine National Railways (PNR) announced the suspension of its train operations on Monday, Sept. 26, due to Typhoon ‘Karding’.
“WALANG BYAHE ngayong araw sa lahat ng ruta ng PNR trains dahil sa Bagyong Karding (No trips today in all routes of PNR trains due to Typhoon Karding),” its management said in an advisory on Sunday, Sept. 25.
It said it will give an update as to when the trips will resume.
On Sunday, train trips in Metro Manila, Lucena City in Quezon, and San Pablo City in Laguna were also suspended due to the typhoon.
Parts of Metro Manila were placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 4 due to typhoon Karding on Sunday.
As of 5 a.m. on Monday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said tropical cyclone wind signals were lifted or lowered in most areas in Luzon as typhoon Karding moved out of the country’s landmass.
