KardingPH: Ternate–Nasugbu Road now open to motorists after clearing operations

TERNATE, Cavite – The Ternate–Nasugbu Road is now passable to motorists following the local government unit's clearing operations on Monday, Sept. 26.

The highway connecting Cavite and Batangas was temporarily closed to vehicles at 6:00 p.m. on Sept. 25 due to possible landslides at the height of Typhoon Karding.

In a Facebook update, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office posted photos of the highway littered with rocks and eroded soil before the clearing operations.

Mayor Lamberto Bambao, meanwhile, updated his constituents on the number of evacuees in the coastal municipality.

As 9:00 p.m. on Sept. 25, 189 families or 602 individuals were taken to various evacuation centers in the municipality.
