Globe, ONE Championship bring search for top Filipino warrior to PH TV

Globe has partnered with ONE Championship™ (ONE) in a television show that hopes to find the top Filipino warrior worthy of a chance to fight on the global stage.

“Globe Presents ONE Warrior Series: Philippines” is a 12-part reality competition that features the journey of 16 Filipino mixed martial arts champions battling for a six-figure contract and the opportunity to compete on the global stage of ONE Championship.

The series started airing on GTV on September 18. A new one-hour episode will air every Sunday through November 27 at 9:35 p.m.

Competitors represent an array of top prospects from across the Philippines including previous national team representatives, international medal winners and local champions who have come together to train with the renowned Team Lakay, the most decorated Philippine MMA team based in the Cordilleras.

The participants are divided into two teams and will undergo rigorous training that will test their discipline and fortitude. Coaches will then pick athletes to spar against each other in a Circle Elimination to determine who stays or who goes home.

ONE events represent the full spectrum of martial arts, with world-class athletes from over 80 countries competing across MMA, Muay Thai, kickboxing, submission grappling, and other disciplines.
