The President also ordered coordination with the local government units (LGUs) , and other regional DRRM-related offices in monitoring the super typhoon.

He also directed the continuous dissemination of advisory to the Animal Protection and Council Office (APCO), LGUs and farmer leaders to the community and local farmers for their farm operation activities.

The regional offices were told to monitor the actual field situation for possible damage and losses that may be incurred in crops, livestock, and fisheries.

As of 2 p.m., more areas in Luzon were placed under Signal no. 5. These areas include Polillo Islands, the extreme northern portion of Quezon, the extreme southern portion of Aurora, the eastern portion of Bulacan, and the extreme southeastern portion of Nueva Ecija.
