In a Facebook post, the Manila Cathedral said this is due to the "expected landfall of Super Typhoon 'Karding' in the Philippines and for the safety of everyone."

"Program will push thru but will be broadcasted via Facebook live, Youtube, and TV Maria Cable Channel," it said.

The event may be viewed in the following FB Pages for livestreaming: OPNE - Office for the Promotion of the New Evangelization, The Manila Cathedral, TV Maria, Philippine Conference on New Evangelization, The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila - Office of Communications.

"Please stay at home for everybody’s safety. Let us pray that we may all be spared by this typhoon Karding," the Manila Cathedral said.

According to organizers, the conference aims “to highlight and deepen the reflections and realizations” of the recent diocesan and national synodal consultations in the country.

“It also aspires to expand the experience of Synodality by joining the ‘Church in Asia’ in building awareness, interest and sense of participation as it celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences (FABC)." it added.
