According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA)'s 5 p.m. bulletin, "Karding" is expected to bring light to heavy rains over Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Aurora as well as in Isabela, Cagayan, and Batanes.

“This tropical cyclone is forecast to intensify into a typhoon in the next 12 hours and may further intensify prior to landfall. While it is likely for this tropical cyclone to slightly weaken due to land interaction during its traverse over Central Luzon, it is highly likely that Karding will remain a typhoon while crossing the landmass,” PAGASA added.

"Heavy rains may cause flooding and landslides; the PRC reminds the public to follow the organization’s 4Ps: Predict, Plan, Prepare, and Practise," PRC reminded.

The organization also assured that its Red Cross 143 staff and volunteers are checking the situation on the ground through its state-of-the-art operations center.

Under the Red Cross 143 program, 44 volunteers from each barangays were designated to monitor their area of responsibility and assist in delivering disaster response operations.
