Over 800 TODA members receive fuel subsidy fleet cards in QC

Over 800 registered members of the Tricycle Operators and Drivers' Association (TODA) received fuel subsidy fleet cards at the Teresa Heights Covered Court, Barangay Pasong Tamo in Quezon City on Friday, Sept. 23.

The recipients were TODA members from Jordan Plains, Northridge and Palmera (NAPA), Phase 8, San Bartolome, San Francisco, Sunriser, Vista Verde, Llano and Novaliches (SVLN), and West Fairview.

Each fleet card has a P1,000 worth of fuel subsidy.

The distribution of fuel subsidy was pursuant to the City Ordinance SP 3100, Series of 2022, which was signed by Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte and enacted in March 2022.

The program aims to help tricycles for hire with valid franchises in the city to cushion the effects of the successive increases in the prices of fuel products.

More than 25,000 TODA members will receive fuel subsidies under the city ordinance.

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte led the distribution of fleet cards, along with District 5 Action Officer William Bawag, Councilor Ram Medalla, Task Force for Transport and Traffic Management (TF-TTM) chief Dexter Cardenas, TF-TTM head Ben Ibon, and Barangay Fairview Captain Jonel Quebal.
