Two members of two notorious criminal gangs arrested in separate buy-bust operations


CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Police arrested two members of two notorious criminal gangs in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Bulacan and Pampanga on Sept. 20 and Sept. 21.

The Philippine National Police identified the suspect as Ronaldo Montalbo, 48, a high value target (HVT), and a member of ‘Contreras’ criminal gang.

He was arrested by elements of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Sto. Nino, Plaridel, Bulacan.

Seized from the suspect were 19 pieces of small heat-sealed plastic sachets containing 10 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P68,000 and marked money.

The Contreras criminal gang is engaged in robberies, carnapping, and distribution of illegal drugs in Bulacan and neighboring provinces.

Meanwhile, joint elements of Mexico Police and other law enforcement units conducted a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Lagundi, Mexico, Pampanga that resulted in the arrest of Joshua Enriquez.

Enriquez is also listed as a high value target and a member of ‘Bonifacio’ criminal gang.

Seized from the suspect were six pieces of plastic sachets containing 1.9 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P12,900, and the marked money.

The Bonifacio criminal gang is involved in a series of robbery hold-ups in Pampanga.

Police Regional Office 3 Director BGEN Cesar Pasiwen said the police will continue to implement focused operations to fight all forms of criminality and lawlessness.
