Singapore venture capitalist eyes $50-M investment in PH


Singapore-based TNB Aura, a thesis-led, high-conviction Venture Capital firm investing-in and helping build the future leading businesses of Southeast Asia, expects to deploy over $50 million into the Philippines over the next three years.

In a statement, TNB Aura co-founders Charles Wong and Vicknesh R Pillay, along with the TNB Aura team, flew in from Singapore to host partners and friends in the Philippines startup ecosystem

The company cited its increased activity in the Philippines as yet another validation of the international interest in the country’s local startups.

Among TNB Aura’s partners in the Philippines include GMA Network, Joel Jimenez, and David Bonifacio, top-tier Venture Capital firms Kaya Founders, Openspace Ventures, and DayOne Ventures, as well as exciting Philippine startups such as Kumu, DigiPay, and WeTrade.
