Man, nephew electrocuted in Quezon


MULANAY, Quezon – A 75-year-old man and his nephew died after they were electrocuted while gathering vegetables here on Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Capt. Joseph Ian Java, chief of police here, said the bodies of Fabian Bia and Sherwin Mediavilla were found in a forested area in Barangay Sta. Rosa by their relative Reymark Mediavilla.

Reymark told police that he followed to the victims to the area after they failed to return home at 5:30 p.m. Police said he found the two near a hanging live wire.

Police said that the victims did not notice the dangling wire covered by weeds and were electrocuted.

Java said remains of the victims were taken to a funeral parlor here.
