A 63-year-old dismissed police officer wanted for illegal drugs was arrested by members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (IMEG) National Capital Region Field Unit in Barangay Roxas District in Quezon City on Tuesday, Sept. 20.
Police said Harold Campos, a former PNP staff sergeant, was arrested at around 6:20 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to the police report, Campos is known in their locality for his involvement in various illegal activities and for violations of local ordinances.
He was arrested after IMEG received reports from police units and residents regarding the presence of the suspect in the area.
He was nabbed on the strength of a warrant of arrest for violation of Republic Act 6425 or The Dangerous Drug Act of 1972 issued by Judge Luisito Galvez Cortez of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 84 in Quezon City on July 20, 2022 with a recommended bail of P60,000.
The said violation was also the reason for his dismissal from the PNP service, police said.
