Woman, 23, nabbed for sharing sex video of Grade 9 student in Ilocos Norte

PIDDIG, Ilocos Norte – Police arrested 23-year-old woman here for sharing the alleged sex video of a 19-year-old neighbor through social media here.

The Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office said the suspect was arrested on a warrant of arrest for violation of Section 4-D of Republic Act 9995 or the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009.

Police said the victim is a female Grade 9 student and the suspect shared the video through Facebook Messenger.

Suspect was apprised of her constitutional rights when she was arrested and brought to the Piddig District Hospital for medical examination and the Piddig Police Station for documentation prior to court presentation.

Section 4-D of RA 9995 states that it is prohibited and declared unlawful for any person to publish or broadcast, or cause to be published or broadcast, whether in print or broadcast media, or show or exhibit the photo or video coverage or recordings of such sexual act or any similar activity through VCD/DVD, internet, cellular phones, and other similar means or device.
