1,400 Biliran Province State U graduates get P3,000 job hunting assistance

TACLOBAN CITY -- Over 1,400 fresh graduates of the Biliran Province State University (BIPSU) will receive job hunting financial assistance from the provincial government of Biliran.

Gov. Gerard Espina said indigent BIPSU students who graduated on Sept. 20, 2022 will receive P3,000 cash assistance each.

"Considering that they are already part of the unemployed after graduation, they need assistance in processing their papers for a job application and expenses while job hunting."

Despite having the lowest poverty incidence rate in Region 8 (Eastern Visayas), Espina said that they only want to help the families of newly minted professionals.

"With the increasing number of unemployed after graduation, I hope that this incentive could help kickstart their professional journey," he added.

A mass payout will be held after the submission of requirements by the graduates that will be verified through the BIPSU database.

Starting Thursday, Sept. 22, they will be accepting applications in their satellite offices and the Office of the Governor.
