10 things you may not know about Adam Levine

From becoming one of the sexiest men alive, Adam Levine is known not only for his incredible face and voice. 

The Maroon 5 frontman has also become a global trendsetter in terms of healthy lifestyle and business.

Starting from his career as a musician, his band has won awards including, Grammy Award for Best New Artist (2005), Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group (2006, 2008), and American Music Awards for Favorite Artist – Adult Contemporary (2013).

Back in the early 2000s, the group came up with songs, "Sunday Morning," "This Love," "She Will Be Loved," etc. that became global fan favorites up to this day.

Now, being a husband and father, Adam continues to do what he loves the most, creating music and sharing it with the world.

Here are some facts you may not know about this multi-talented artist.

  • He was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) during his teenage years. In his interviews, Adam frequently shared that he struggles with his lack of ability to focus often. When he becomes distracted, he may take a break from his activities until he can concentrate again.
  • "Kara's Flowers" was the first name of his band. Before coming up with Maroon 5, Adam and his bandmates were first known as "Kara's Flowers."
  • Adam has a sweet tooth. He loves sweets such as vanilla sprinkles and jelly donuts.
  • He also appeared in movies such as Begin Again (2013), American Horror Story (2012), and Fun Mom Dinner (2017).
  • He learned about henna designs before marrying Behati Prinsloo. Before he proposed to her, the musician studied hundreds of henna designs. The result was an incredible design that has been described as ”all-encompassing” and “extremely intricate.”
  • He worked as a writing assistant for a popular sitcom entitled "Judging Amy".
  • Adam has a '222' tattoo, which is also the name of his record label and production company that produced television shows "Sugar" and "Songland".
  • Adam is ambidextrous. He is known to be a left-hand writer, but he also prefers to use his right hand to play his guitar.
  • Adam is an animal lover and had a Golden Retriever named Frankie, who sadly passed away in 2013. He has since welcomed two more dogs, Bones, a goldendoodle, and Charlie, another female golden retriever, to his family.
