Valenzuela records over 220 active Covid-19 cases on Sept. 19

The Valenzuela City government listed a total of 224 active Covid-19 cases in the city on Monday, Sept. 19.

The local government said that of the total number of patients with active Covid-19 cases, 171 were under home quarantine, 36 were in isolation facilities, and 17 were admitted in hospitals.

It added that the city logged a total of 46,161 cumulative confirmed Covid-19 cases as of Sept. 19, with 960 deaths, and 44, 977 recoveries.

The city government said that residents can contact the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) for concerns regarding the disease.

Valenzuela City Mayor Weslie "Wes" Gatchalian had earlier announced that Covid-19 vaccinations (initial, second, and booster doses) will soon be conducted in different barangays to bring the inoculations closer to the residents.

His announcement follows the issuance of City Ordinance No. 1049, Series of 2022, enacted last Sept. 13, on the easing of the face mask rule in non-crowded and well-ventilated outdoor settings or open spaces in the city.
