DZBB's 'Super Balita sa Umaga,' Barangay LS 97.1's 'Barangay Love Stories' emerge as top AM and FM shows in Mega Manila

Super Radyo DZBB and Barangay LS 97.1 remain at the top of the game in their respective categories in Mega Manila with Super Balita sa Umaga and Barangay Love Stories emerging as the highest-rating AM and FM programs for August.

In the August 2022 Nielsen Radio Audience Measurement data, Super Radyo DZBB 594’s “Super Balita sa Umaga” was the station’s top program for the month.

Ranking second was “Bahay at Buhay,” hosted by Lala Roque. Morning primetime shows “Dobol Weng sa Dobol B” and “Melo del Prado sa Super Radyo” completed the list of DZBB’s top programs. Similarly, these shows bested all programs from other competing AM stations in their respective timeslots.

Super Radyo DZBB 594’s audience share jumped to 44 percent, coming from the previous month’s 38.5 percent. DZRH, its nearest competitor, got 35.8 percent for the said period.

DZBB recorded a total reach of 1.38 million for the month with 94.3 percent of the listeners remaining loyal to the station.

Meanwhile, the morning and afternoon blocks of flagship FM station Barangay LS 97.1 were again the main ratings drivers for August. Consistently leading all FM programs by wide margins, “Barangay Love Stories” hosted by Papa Dudut also remained as the station’s highest rating show.

“Talk to Papa,” “Potpot & Friends,” “Songbook,” and “Forever Request” also made it to the list of top programs in the said month.

Moreover, Barangay LS 97.1 was named Outstanding FM Radio Station in the ASEAN Excellence Achievers Awards 2022. ‘Potpot & Friends’ hosts Papa Carlo and Papa Jepoy were also recognized as Phenomenal Male Radio Personalities.

Barangay LS 97.1 Forever! registered a 41.8 percent audience share in August. On the other hand, its closest rival 90.7 Love Radio got 15.1 percent.

Recording a total reach of 6.8 million, 80.1 percent of Barangay LS listeners remained loyal to the station for the month.

Tune in to Super Radyo DZBB 594 kHz and Barangay LS 97.1 Forever! Mondays to Sundays. Select DZBB programs are also simulcast via Dobol B TV on GTV, and abroad on GMA News TV. Netizens can also catch DZBB stories on TikTok.
